Branding, Naming Arccos Mobile App
Originally called GolfKick, the powerfully passive, connected-tech product from this start-up is an aid for golfers wanting to improve their game. Extensive name exploration included borrowing from golf’s long history and rich shared language, but ultimately, it was the math formula used to measure the radius of an arc on a circle, Arccos, that resonated because it’s actually part of the formula they use to calculate shot distance.
We selected golf legend Bagger Vance, known for his warmth, passion and knowledge of the game, to represent the Arccos brand voice. Mission, vision, values, and tagline teed up the creative drive for digital presence, videos, packaging, public relations, and integrated marketing campaign.
